My Chosen Portion

Psalm 16

About the Sermon

God is the inheritance of his people if they take refuge in him. Psalm 16 reassures the saints that they can dwell securely through the hardships and dangers of life because God is always near. God is faithful to preserve his people in every present trouble and lead us to pleasures forevermore. Through this Psalm we rejoice together that God is our portion and we belong in his presence.

About the Series

God has given himself to be the portion of his people, an inheritance that will last forever. Yet so often Christians seek refuge in other things. In this short series in Psalm 16 and 17 David shows us that the people of God must put all their confidence in God himself and know that he will bring us into the joy of his presence. For if we seek the things of this world, we just might find them, and miss the pleasures of God.
