Attend to My Cry

Psalm 17

About the Sermon

Everyone at some point in their life cries; some more than others. We may generally attribute crying as something only children do, but the truth is we all do it. But what are we to make of a king crying? In Psalm 17 we consider the king who cries, why he cries, and to whom he cries. Most importantly, let us look to his hope amidst his cry.

About the Series

God has given himself to be the portion of his people, an inheritance that will last forever. Yet so often Christians seek refuge in other things. In this short series in Psalm 16 and 17 David shows us that the people of God must put all their confidence in God himself and know that he will bring us into the joy of his presence. For if we seek the things of this world, we just might find them, and miss the pleasures of God.
