Men at Heritage

Pursuing God-Honoring Manhood

Our Aim

To strengthen men to fulfill their God-given roles in the church, at home, and for all of life.
I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling.

1 Timothy 2:8

Our Approach

Our culture is communicating a false message about manhood, and it’s hurting everyone. We want to see men live out their biblical roles with integrity and grace. Shepherding Groups are the main area for fellowship, including fellowship between men. However, the men’s ministry strategically strengthens men for their unique part in the life of our church.

Equipping Men with the Word

The church needs strong men who can read, understand, and lead from the Word.

Sharing Stories of Grace

God is transforming men through the gospel, and men are strengthened by sharing and hearing these stories.

Engaging in Godly Friendship

Men need friends, and our meetings help to form and strengthen male friendship.

Opportunities

Men's Bible Study

Each fall and spring, we host a multi-week Bible study. The format consists of large group teaching, followed by small group discussion and prayer for one another.

Annual Men's Breakfast

Each fall our men gather for a breakfast in a community venue. This event provides a relaxed and conversational environment for our men to know each other better and to invite guests. We enjoy good food and hear a speaker who gives insight into God-honoring manhood.

Periodic Men's Gatherings

Several times a year, men meet for a variety of activities. These include hikes or ballgames, evening fellowships with singing and prayer, or panel discussions about pertinent topics. Every other year, we also get away for a weekend retreat. All these opportunities focus on building up our men and building relationships between them.
