No Other Name

Acts 4:1-31

About the Sermon

In this sermon we are confronted with the simplicity and the potency of the gospel message. Under the pressure of the first run of persecution, Peter preaches the gospel: “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name …” (4:12).

About the Series

The book of Acts of the story of Jesus’ continuing work in the world by his Spirit. This is how the Spirit decided to show us what the mission looks like. It sets the trajectory for the church theologically and geographically. In this short series we explore four texts to answer four questions about the church’s global mission: where are we to go? What is our message? Who is involved in this work? Why would we risk all for this cause? In this way, this series will add clarity and specificity to our church’s mission statement, “to spread the unsearchable riches of Christ broader in the world and deeper in the church.”
