Outside the Camp

Leviticus 4:1-12

About the Sermon

Are you busy these days? Lots of details to keep track of? The hurrier you go, the behinder you get? Israel had that problem too. They had a lot of laws to keep, and a lot of sacrifices to make. Real sacrifices, as in dead animals. Lots of different kinds of sacrifices, each with its own rules and procedures, and all of them had to be done exactly the right way. One of them was different from the others. You couldn’t burn it on the altar; you had to take it outside the camp—or the city—and burn it completely. Why? And so what? And what difference will that make for me Monday morning?

About the Series

Our normal course of preaching is to work through books of the Bible. However, from time to time we take a break from this pattern and preach a single sermon from another part of the Bible. Here are some of those sermons, including sermons from guest preachers.
