Choose Life

Deuteronomy 30:15-20

About the Sermon

Choices. They're a significant part of life. Some are small—what we'll eat for lunch. Some are big—where we live. We face choices every day. But there are also moments when we face life-altering decisions. These pivotal moments impact the rest of our lives. In Deuteronomy 30:15-20, Moses offers a pivotal choice to the people of Israel. Listen as Abe Stratton, HBC pastoral staff member from 2008-2023, leads us to gaze upon the One who calls us to a major decision. Abe is the Senior Pastor at Bethany Baptist Church in Brevard, NC.

About the Series

The book of Acts ends with an invitation—Apostle Paul in Rome, “teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance” (Acts 28:30–31). Luke’s conclusion invites us to imagine the future progress of God’s unhindered Word. At fifty years old, our church is the proof that God creates, sustains, and sends his people by his unstoppable Word. To celebrate, five preachers with a special connection to our church’s past proclaim God’s Word to strengthen us for the future.
