Join us for our 2025 Summer Book Clubs! The purpose of these Book Clubs is twofold: to encourage you in your spiritual growth by introducing you to theologically rich books and to deepen your relationships in our church by connecting you to other women interested in discussing those books in community.
We are offering three book clubs in the categories of Christian Living, Theology, and Relationships. Be sure to pay close attention to the details of location and time before signing up as each of these clubs will meet at different times and places. Due to space constraints each book club will be capped depending on location, so sign up early!
Overview: Gratitude is a choice. If we fail to choose it, by default we choose ingratitude. And once allowed into the heart, ingratitude does not come by itself, but with other seedy companions that only succeed in stealing joy. Choosing Gratitude: Your Journey to Joy challenges and equips the reader to live a life of intention, a life based on thankfulness for the freedom Christ has provided and for the blessings of others. By intentionally thanking God and others, bitterness and entitlement are replaced with joy and the humble realization of just how undeserving we really are.
To not choose gratitude is more costly than we usually realize. When we do choose a lifestyle of heartfelt, humble gratitude, we are mindful of the benefits received from our gracious Savior and those He has placed around us, and our joy becomes full.

Overview: Psalm 23 is one of the most recognizable passages in the whole Bible. Though relatively short, this poetic depiction of God’s love epitomizes Christ’s goodness and provision as He leads His children. Even lifelong Christians will find fresh encouragement by closely studying these familiar words.
David Gibson walks through each verse in Psalm 23, thoroughly examining its three depictions of the believer’s union with Christ as sheep and shepherd, traveler and companion, and guest and host. Gibson provides canonical context for the Psalm’s beautiful imagery, inspiring praise and wonder as readers reflect on the loving Shepherd who meets every need.
Author: David Gibson is minister of Trinity Church in Aberdeen, Scotland. He was born in Tennessee and grew up in Tanzania and then also in Belfast, N. Ireland. He is a coeditor of From Heaven He Came and Sought Her, and his publications include Living Life Backward: How Ecclesiastes Teaches Us to Live in Light of the End; Radically Whole; and The Lord of Psalm 23: Jesus Our Shepherd, Companion, and Host. Overview: Do you crave people’s love and approval? Do you dread their rejection or mistreatment? Although we don’t always realize it, many of our lives—and identities—are dangerously contorted around such longings and fears.
All experiences of the fear of man share at least one common feature: people are big. They have grown to idolatrous proportions in our lives. They control us. Since there is no room in our hearts to worship both God and people, whenever people are big, God is not. Therefore the first task in escaping the snare of the fear of man is to know that God is awesome and glorious, not other people. Discover a fear of the Lord that, in Christ, is filled with gratitude, love, and devotion—freeing you to need others less and love them more.
