The Armor We Wear

Ephesians 6:13-18

About the Sermon

We made it – in our final sermon of the Armor of God series we examine the armor which Paul describes in Ephesians 6. It was important for us to look at all the other ideas first so that we have an understanding of what Paul tells us to do in this famous paragraph. What is this armor? How do we take it up and put it on? And how often should we do that? These are questions we’ll explore in this sermon. Be ready to put your armor on.

About the Series

The Armor of God carries a double meaning. Most people think that this is the armor which God gives to us to resist the devil, which is true. However, the other (primary) meaning is that this is actually God’s armor which He wore to fight for and win our salvation. Because of our union with Christ, we as His people are now clothed in His armor, strengthened with His might, protected by His power, and carried by His Spirit to resist the schemes of our adversary.
