Faith in the Gap

Galatians 5:1-5

About the Sermon

For every Christian, there is a gap between who we are in practice right now and who we will be when we are glorified. Navigating that gap is not easy because the terrain of life in this fallen world is full of dangers. This Sunday Dan Cruver will begin a four-part series titled, Giving Faith Something to See, based on Paul’s letter to the Galatians. We will begin in Galatians 5:1–5 to strengthen our faith “in the gap.”

About the Series

For Christians, there is a gap between when we first believe in Christ and when we finally see Him with our eyes. We live our entire Christian lives looking “not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen” (2 Cor. 4:18), waiting for the day when our faith becomes sight. Faith in the gap is not easy; daily, we are tempted to lose heart and often groan under heavy burdens. What our faith needs daily is something to see, namely, Jesus Christ crucified. Join us for this series as we set the eyes of our faith upon Christ to strengthen us in the gap.
