Disciple Making and Church Planting

Acts 14:19-28

About the Sermon

The work of global missions requires our most careful thinking and prayerful sacrifice. We do right from time to time to focus on some of the basic questions related to our global mission: What are we tasked to do by our Lord? How do we know when we've been faithful? Who should we partner with in this work? In this sermon we come to our second in a three-part series, Mile Markers for the Mission, in which we consider how the church's mission among the nations progresses. In this particular sermon we consider the work of missions after proclamation.

About the Series

What is the work of global missions? Put another way, what is it that we send missionaries to do? This question is crucial for our work among the nations. This question decides how we pray, who we send, and how we invest our limited resources. To answer this question, we turn to the book of Acts where we find out what the Apostles did in response to Jesus’ great commission. In this short series we consider the mile markers for our global mission.
