What is the role of the church in global missions? The answer to that question must guide our church and could very well change the course and purpose of your life. The opening pages of Acts tell the story of the Word of God multiplying throughout Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. But just as he promised, Christ had a plan to spread his glory even further, a plan that both begins and ends with local churches. In this short series for Global Outreach week, we’ll follow the church at Antioch in Acts 13-14 as they send the first overseas missionaries. But the church isn’t just a part of the work, the church is right at the center of Christ’s plan to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth.
