Men’s Bible Study

Men, our fall Bible study will meet in The Cave on Thursdays, September 11 – October 16, at 6:15 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. and will focus on 1 Thessalonians.

Paul arrives in Thessalonica preaching the gospel with the joy of seeing people repent and believe! His effectiveness is short-lived, however, as the city soon enters an uproar and he is forced to flee with Silas to Berea. The Thessalonian church appears to gain a newfound persecution accompanying their infant faith. How was Paul to keep the church he loves there from falling away as he had seen so many others do? In two separate letters he writes to this group of young believers, we see his strategy unfold. We see encouragement in the things the young church knows, admonishment in what they should do, and a hopeful faith in waiting for the return of their Lord. Join us as we consider these things and much more from the first of two letters Paul writes to the Thessalonian church. We pray, as the men of Heritage Bible Church, we will leave this six-week study encouraged, strengthened, challenged, and hopeful in God’s word to a young church caught in the turmoil of an opposing culture.
